Ghana Confirms
Amp Soccer Leadership

Accra, Ghana - The Ghana Amputee Football Association has been confirmed as the single legitimate representative of amputee football in Ghana, with the Rev. Richard Nii Amartey Adesah as its leader.

The confirmations were announced here by Mr. Ignatius Elletey, Secretary General, National Paralympic Committee - Ghana, after a series of hearings into the matter.

Rev. Adesah's leadership was challenged by Francis Adjetey Sowah and Mr. Kukuu Dsane who sought recognition of their organization, the Ghana Amputee Football Federation, even though that organization was disbanded by the Ghana government in February of last year.

Kenya Names New Officers

Kenya Amputee Football Federations Kenya has named its new leaders. Named through recent elections were:

Steven N Muli - President

Peter Oloo - Secretary General

Polycap Mboya - National Treasurer.


Liberia Electes Leaders


Cooper Melvin Gotteh

Members of the Liberia Amputee Football and Sports Association (LAFSA) have retained Mr. Cooper Melvin Gotteh as the President of the Association in an election held at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.

Mr. Samuel Solomon Eastman was elected as the Secretary General whilst Mr. Johnson Kollie got the nod as the Vice President in charge of Administration.

Other elected officers were Dennis Fahn Parker, Vice President in charge of Operations, Festus Harrison Jnr., Assistant Secretary and Anthony Doe, Treasurer.

The officers are to run the affairs of the Association for the next four years before the next elections.

The elections were supervised by the Electoral Commission of Liberia under the chairmanship of Mr. Henry Brown, Technical Director of the Liberia Football Association.

Theodore M. K. Viwotor - Ghana

Named WAFF
Media Relations Deputy

Masayuki Sugino, Chair of the WAFF Media Relations Committee, and President Rick Hofmann have announced the appointment of Theodore M.K. Viwotor (Ghana), as the WAFF Deputy Media Relations Officer.

Theodore, an experienced journalist and editor, will conentrate on helping promote amputee football throughout Africa in traditional communciations outlets, as well as developing awareness through social media.
